PROCESS MANAGER

 Food Packaging USA

 Baltimore, MD

 

As a key member of our production management team the primary responsibility of the Process Manager is to provide leadership, direction and training to plant electricians, and maintain, repair and upgrade all electrical-related areas in the manufacturing plant with a dotted line support to the machine shop and equipment repair. Specific accountabilities include the following:

  1. Provide a safe working environment for all employees through the Crown Safe Observations, team safety meetings, and safety initiatives
  2. Anticipate, prevent and resolve production and quality problems (support equipment, building and processes)
  3. Manage and train all plant electricians
  4. Interact with plant management on design and implementation process improvements
  5. Develop capital budgets for various projects and expenditures
  6. Manage Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems
  7. Serve as plant IT administrator by ensuring proper function of network and voicemail systems.
  8. Track downtime causes and failure rates-through Smart line data
  9. Manage work order system and assign work orders to department personnel
  10. Ensure compliance with State of Maryland’s Electrical Standards, OSHA 1910 and 1926 Standards and to National Electrical Code.
  11. Ensure plant utility costs are in line with budget

 

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

 

  • Bachelors Degree required: a degree in Engineering or other technical discipline preferred
  • Three years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Full command of MS Office (Word, Access, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Strong organization and project management skills and ability to meet consistently deadlines
  • Ability to work weekend and overtime hours
